This is a highly advanced course that teaches the use of long threads to achieve the classic ‘lunchtime face lift’. Sometimes, referred to as the popular ‘Thread Lift’. Long threads are specially designed to achieve a similar outcome as the conventional surgical facelift but without the long recovery time and with fewer associated complications. This minimally invasive technique involves inserting a thread under the skin to lift and pull the sagging skin to achieve a desirable youthful effect immediately that is long-lasting. Learning to perform long threads can help you tap into the growing aesthetics industry and its increasing consumer demand, and offer an additional service to your existing patient base.

SUPPORT AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

To gain your certification you must complete the following components:
Initial hands-on training – 2x models on the day of your training
Final case studies – 2x models in your own clinic with the support and guidance by our trainer
Total of 4x case studies to receive your certificate of completion.

Once the initial hands-on training is completed, delegates will be provided with support and mentorship which will run for one month post training. This will help build confidence and competency in providing long threads treatments within their practice. This includes access to online groups with the presence of a training doctor where delegates will receive treatment advice and support. Delegates will be required to submit two patient case studies (on the day of your training) and a further two patient case studies (after your initial training) including before and after photos, a treatment plan and reflection of practice to receive certification.

Upon completion of this hands-on training and mentorship program, delegates will able to start offering long threads to their patients.

Concept of thread lifts and skin tightening
How to design the lift according to patient
How to perform thread lifts at the correct skin depth to achieve patient satisfaction
Complications and how to avoid and deal with them
Understand patient selection, assessment and consent for successful consultations

Requirements

This program is available to registered nurses, nurse practitioners and doctors who are registered with AHPRA.
Must have experience and show confidence in providing deep dermal fillers and mono-threads to attend this course.
Registered nurses require to have a scripting doctor available for treatments after you complete your initial training.
You must have insurance coverage for this procedure prior to attending your hands-on training. ASI is able to assist you with this. Delegates are required to bring their own models for both your training session and mentorship program, who will be pre-screened by our trainers to ensure suitability for the procedure. Your online course, hands-on training and mentorship program must be completed to receive your certification.

• After enrolling, you will receive immediate lifetime access to the online component of the hands-on training. You will need to review the material and pass the tests to complete the course before attending the in-person session. During this process, you are encouraged to reach out with any questions. Completing this course may also help you with applying for insurance if you have not already, and deliver proper informed consent to your model prior to the practical training.

• The practical training will cover important theory information and focus mainly on the hands-on approach of the procedure where you will have the opportunity to treat your own patient. This includes treatment consultation and planning, choosing the appropriate product tailored to your patient, taking clinical photos and much more. This is carried out in an actual medical aesthetics clinic, where health and safety standards are met according to local regulatory guidelines.
