This course is a compilation of cosmetic skin conditions for the aesthetic practitioner.

It covers the most common skin problems that present in cosmetic practice and conditions within the scope of treatment by an aesthetic practitioner.

Rather than listing all potential treatment options like traditional textbooks, this course aims to highlight the “treatment of choice” where appropriate, which include the most effective treatments for each condition as recommended by collective experiences of practicing cosmetic physicians.

This course is aimed for medical doctors, nurses and skin therapists new the field of cosmetic dermatology. It is not for specialist dermatologists.

This course builds upon the foundation knowledge that has been presented in the Fundamentals of Skin Science and the Introduction To Skin Lesion Identification and Dermatoscopy. It is highly recommended to have completed those two courses before embarking on Cosmetic Dermatology so that you can make the most out of your learning. Together, these three courses form the foundation of skin knowledge that should be familiarised prior to learning about skin treatments such as Laser/IPL, Liquid Gold, Radio Frequency, and Skin Therapy within our Aesthetics and Skin Institute skin pathway. However, we do recommend you to check with your local regulatory body to clarify your scope of practice if necessary. For more information, please contact us and we will be able to provide advice tailored to your situation.
