PRP and PRF treatments in cosmetic medicine is a relatively new yet effective cutting-edge treatment that uses the plasma in the patient’s own blood to treat certain skin conditions, as well as for hair regrowth. A popular, in-demand treatment is Liquid Gold microneedling, which consumers have commonly referred to as the ‘Vampire Facial’ following celebrity publicity. More recently, Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) has emerged as a more advanced version of Liquid Gold for skin rejuvenation purposes. It has been touted as superior to Liquid Gold with a higher level of healing factors for better clinical results.

In this course, you will learn all about Liquid Gold and PRF, and the various methods in which it can be used. You will be familiar with how to prepare Liquid Gold and PRF in your practice, and injection techniques to achieve effective results for the skin and scalp while minimising complications.

Upon completion of this workshop, you should be able to:
Comprehend the principles of wound healing
Be familiar with uses, indications and protocols for PRP & PRF
Be familiar with extraction and injection techniques for PRP & PRF
Understand complications and contraindications
Understand the difference between PRP and PRF

This workshop is aimed at all practitioner levels that are able to perform this treatment within their scope of practice as determined by their local regulatory body. You must be an AHPRA registered doctor or registered nurse. You must have insurance coverage for this procedure. Nurses will need to provide details of a nominated supervising doctor. Delegates are required to bring their own model who will be pre-screened by our trainers to ensure suitability for the procedure. For more information, please speak to our education advisor.
